... I did a test but due to leagal reason, I cant post the photo. I mounted my 500mm f4.5 (non IS) lens on my tripod, add my 1.4x TC and 2X TC...

Been dreaming of a DSLR since 2 years ago..now finally got it..
Was intending to buy a 400D, but my brother went out to buy for me without me knowing.
Said that the 40D is so much better than the 400D, so he got it for me.

got it today from John. Still comtemplating the lens to go with. I'm shortlisting (24-70 L F2.8 USM) or (24-105 L IS USM). The former seemed a lot heavier but slightly better reviews(like barrel distortion & vignetting) compared to 24-105's, but 24-105 has longer zoom.... any opinions guys?

If u are hobbyist, carry on. If event photographer, no. 24 mm x 1.5 x means u are shooting at 38.4mm. Wide angle not wide enuff.

finally got my first slr, the 40d, after much contemplating. it sure burned a hole in my wallet though since i got it in au. it'll be worth it though!:bsmilie:
