3rd party 1D series battery

just checked..

B&H is also out of stock for original canon battery

adoroma has only 1 left in stock.

According to a foreign Canon forum, several 1D2 users get their batts from a UK supplier. It's said to be cheap and fairly reliable. When they're on sale, which can be often, they can cost less than SGD30 each. But there's a catch - they only ship to UK addresses so you'll have to get a friend in the UK to buy for you. They don't even accept a non-UK CC payment or anything non-UK.

Ebay has tons and frankly just have to tikam tikam.

As regards weather sealing - don't rely on 3rd party seals to do that. Usually not reliable unless you're very lucky. What a few 1D2 folks do is swap out the old seals from their dead Canon batts and put them on the 3rd party replacements. It's said to be a fairly easy operation.
care to PM me the link? i'll be heading to UK soon so might as well get from there if it's cheap..thks!

Dear Sir,

Thank you for placing order with us.

Currently there's no stock for the NPE3 battery. The stock will arrive next week if there is no custom delay.

Time to stck up guys!:D

Sounds exciting, but lithiums require a great deal more monitoring and care.

Is there a way to measure the stored capacity on such a batt easily (aka, without expensive instruments)? Because I've read that maintaining a very specific charge level range in lithiums is crucial to preventing batt damage. Also cannot drain past a certain point during usage ...

Hi Bros, i have check with East Gear and they have in stock Lithium NP-E3 battery for 1D mk1 and mk2 bodies. Per piece is $89:D
