i don't know if this has been discussed upon before and i couldnt find any related to this in the forums.. so please be kind and respond to my query...

i am looking 35mm film rolls and just not able to find them in any of the photo express and other film processing shops. anyone knows where i can buy the black and white film rolls? thanks!

U can find them in Ruby Photo at Peninsula..

You can buy them from a few places:

* Buy from Ruby Photo or Konata at Peninsula Plaza. Ruby carries Ilford and Kodak. Konata is a Fuji place. There is even a photo shop at Bishan Junction 8 next to NTUC that sells Kodak BW400CN film. Some places in Peninsula sells Lucky ERA film for about $3.50.

* Buy from online places like ebay, freestyleonline or japanexposure.com. Of course, postage is a concern, so buy bulk. Your benchmark should be $6 for a XP-2 film or $7 for one of the Delta 3200 film.

Last resort, buy Color C41 films and develop them as B&W using BW developer

Have tried the first 2, did not have to resort to the 3rd option, yet. I buy OEMed film from EBAY (XP-2) and Freestyleonline (Legacy Pro 400, Arista Premium). I also bought Shanghai GP3 and Ultrafine Plus 400 for the 120 format.

thank you very much! will check out these places :)
cheers!

i think tripleD at burlington square do sells a few kinds of B&W too.

any pic when use color C41 films and develop them as B&W using BW developer?

The thing I hate about Lucky's 120 film is that it is impossible to read the numbers on the backing paper through the ruby window (I'm using a "vintage" camera :-) . How clear are the markings on Shanghai's backing paper ?

Hmm.. am new to b&w film too... so any film processing shop can develop the b&w from the b&w film???

Not all shops do black and white processing. Ruby does if I am not mistaken. Most people choose DIY though.
