2xSB600 vs R1C1 for macro lighting

actually you can also use your SB900 as a commander
easy to set the settings too

Why must use 2 numbers of flashes??????:bsmilie:

Agreed with Leong.. Most of the time, 1 light is gd enough... Directional fill as n where required.. More lights more issues to worry of..:)

But Alex.. Overall setup weight will be one big setback.. Personally tried it nefore i got my SU800 and the extra "pre flash" frm SB900 to trigger the remotes prove to be too much to add to the scene .. Heeeee

 :)

Pre-flash: if you use the pop up as commander then it will send out a flash to trigger the external flashes and then only the external flashes are firing. While this all occurs within a very short time (ms) it can be enough to get insects (jumping spiders) to move. Also if you use TTL then the flashes will fire a measuring flash for exposure measurement before they actually fire.

Thanks for the explanation.. Learnt s'thing... Cheers!

For your info, the fotopro dual arm is out of stock, new stock will arrival next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Thanks Leong.. I dun think China will run out of stock.. I'll buy here in China... I'm half Chinaman now.. having stayed here for the past 7 years...

Wow, that good, over there will be alot cheaper. :)

If you want lightweight, just get a IR panel for built-in flash, and use it as the commander for the 2 SBR-200.

Lightweight is good but the camera setting is not that user friendly... I'll most likely go for more weight in this case.

I believe this will be my current option.. sb-900, R1, fotopro and maybe buy a monopod..

Any good recommendation for monopod am looking at Benro's..

Currently waiting for approval of my wife.. Hahaha tedious approval process...:bsmilie:

Ringflash for speedlight is an option.
