i forgot to add, all the nosebleed lah, going to faint lah, call the ambulance lah and all that crap should be restricted to own's mind.

Wow, are you really so narrow-minded and prudish? I thought I see you girls 'drool' over the Latin guys in the other thread?

Sometimes, it is better to relax a bit. You have become one of those over-reacting aunties.

I agree w/ Jeanie.

Don't know about everyone else, but such comments boarder on very lecherous and very "boys-club" in nature. Such comments should be reserved for MSN convos with buddies and not on a respected public forum. Not targeting the thread poster here, just such comments in general everytime a new series of pictures is posted.

There is a difference between being a prude and a pervert.

where did u see me posting about wat latin guys?one pole hit whole ship ah?i think you are the overreacting ahpek here.the post was not even directing at you, is it because you're guilty and is one of those who give such remarks hence the reaction?

if such remarks can be given since u mention they are compliments to the models, then why other extreme remarks on the opposite end has to be shut down?remarks like "oh make me puke" or "simply cannot make it"?why?you only want to hear the good stuffs?:dunno: :nono:

this is a photography forum for goodness sake.comments should be professional relating to the skills and techniques of photography, and not a channel for drooling at bikiniclad babes.there are definitely other forums for you to do that.

i do not see the relevance of the taxi uncles story.please stick to the topic.

so if a guy flashes his dickie to your wife or gf, does that mean it's a compliment because he wants to bed her because she's hot?
get a life.argue straight.think before you post.

eh, kinda agree with you... not kinda, should be absolutely... i mean, last time, ppl say nice, to those ugly pics, i think its so hypocrite... then come along now those nosebleed etc... i mean, photography forum mistake as sammyboy or sggals?

if u guys just wanna share pics, then i guess maybe suggest to Darren to open a special thread, just post your links there, and move on... since u dun wan comments, neither do u need any positive reinforcement... just link, and go...

if u guys can't take C&C, just dun post your pictures, dun share them, just keep it in your hdd, if u wanna share them, expect that nobody will think like you and would love your work like you do, and also understand your difficulties like you had experienced yourself...

thanks, wow i see till nose bleed....  :bsmilie:
This is very strange ..... you see an image shot by yourself and you cried that your nose got problem looking at that pic .... is there anything about the photo or the model's face, or the size of the bo0bs that made your yumyum's nose bleed (better go check with a doc in case u die from bleeding)?....
But then a while ago, you are like asking DP to stay away when he commented truely that the models' face is oily ....
first of all, pls deadpoet, it's just a sharing of pics, whether or not u like it, do not comment on e models, I dun care how the pics are overexposed, whether u like it or not, I dun care,
kind of double-standard dude ..... :thumbsd:

guys, live and let live ok?

i'm sure yum yum will post carefully what he really wants(to have comments or not) in future.

comon, it's near xmas.:sweatsm:  world peace ya!:)

How about "hot"?

Is it acceptable?

For example, found this in another thread:

Nice, those girls are damn hot

Love that series!

So how's yr nose .... the bleeding stops?

There is nothing wrong with C&C. Your editor or Creative Director might not be a photographer to you, then again its he that you need to convinced that your work is good, isn't it?

Calling them who criticize your work as scum just reflects one's lack of ability to improve and prove that one has the ability to portray something that is artistic and soothing to the eyes.

Of coz, going to National Geography and taking a picture of the great barrier reefs is a much faster way. :)

Comments are there.. So be it .. it doesn really hurt that much after I have seen much worse than what DP have give. Come on .. take some, give some.. all is good

Those are really the scum of the earth with nothing better to do..but back to the topic..
I have to agree what jeanie and wildstallion have say about the comment that DP have posted.. There are nothing wrong with it..
Take it from someone to learn what is wrong abt ur pic and stop defending it ..
No hard feeling, In the real world .it far harsher than what u seen here.

I'm totally agre with jeannie................regards

Sigh the prob as I see it with all these usual tit-for-tat in CS is the difference in intentions and photography skills.

For newbies, sometimes all they ever want is to share the images. Nothing else. Ok, they didn't say so. Unfortunate that in CS, there are some who are way more experienced in photography and they demand very high standards.

As I see it, for newbies, if u just wanna share, as in very casual shots, with little effort made on ensuring the technical aspects of the images are good, CS is a bad place to do it. Maybe some other more tolerant websites will be better.

Sometimes, when we become so good and exprienced in photography, we just can't stand it even when we see a little flaw. So newbies who just spash their 1-cent images online won't have it good here. Of cos, unless they specifically say "No comments please". But then, I believe may itchy-finger experienced photogs will want to post something just to even suggest slightly "Your pictures suck!"

Well, think about a hobby that you have little knowledge of. Maybe a sport or something that requires some skill. Then think about doing it in front of someone who is damn professional and superb in skills. I'm sure it's all too easy for the pro to snub you. But for yourself, you may not realize how bad your skills are. You are just doing it for the sake of it. The analogy is something like that here. Sometimes, people post pics simply bcos they wanna share. Who cares about what exposure, imperfect smile, oily complexion, etc. Talk to your non-photog friends and you will get whan I mean. They might think you are crazy to lug along a DSLR around to take pics. Why dun u just use a point and shoot?

Another thing is... I think Spore is such a tiny place overpopulated where it's easy to find trouble. (Thank goodness it's not a violent place.) Take a few steps back or front, you will step on someone's feet. Even if u have nothing to do, u try to find something to do -- as what I'm doing now!!

At the end of the day, life is short... So live and let live. What is bad to you, others really don't give a care. But they get hurt when blunt (though frank) comments fly in their faces!

Be happy!

Comments aside. Who cares anyway!

But dont give up. Practice makes good.

In every sharing, and every comment - its a matter of how a person perceived a work. Every award winning works can and had been criticized before. Because not everybody will like what you take. End of the day is to take things positively and reflect yourself whether is there any value in those criticism.

As a photographer, one need to address needs from either the client or the boss. It doesn't neccessary means what you feel good will be what the customer feels good. A shot can be changed many times, just as a drawing or a sketch can be changed a thousand times in where I come from. And when you least expect it, when you think that you had a perfect shot, someone comes along and gives you an "idea" saying "it might be better if its done this way" or "maybe the color would be better if its like that", and the entire crew would have stay behind to redo the shot. That is just a tiny glimpse in the real world what goes on during production.

Every fashion designer(bald or bearded),brand owner, executive producer, creative director, technical director, photography director are defined as "scums out there" in the vocabulary of some. Would be fun to understand how some of us managed to overcome or avoid such characters in their course of work. For me, I get them all the time. Sighz....

From the perspective of the hobbyist, it would be nicer and wiser to just relax, and enjoy the experience of sharing photography techniques among peers, in a non-competitive environment, bitching about camera specifications, nose bleedings and fantasies of dating which every model that is deemed hot and nose bleed material (which has somewhat become the norm in CS from the number of times it occurs) instead of engaging in big debate or bashing those who comment negatively on your photograph.

Like others have said, just bring it on, and show us more. Enjoy lah... dun fight. and of course, Merry Christmas. Haha!

i forgot to add, all the nosebleed lah, going to faint lah, call the ambulance lah and all that crap should be restricted to own's mind.

To the guy on the street, who can't talk (so he probably can't walk up and chat up any girl he wants), can't act (so he can't be an actor on stage or on screen), dun have a flair for art (so he can't claim to be an artist) - where would the next best thing to do? Don a camera that slightly heavy, get a tripod and walks around. That creates some empowerment of sort. And every single picture that expose a little flesh is "wow.... good shot". "nose bleed materials", "brings out the sexuality", "oh my gawd, drooling man" and every other comment you can think of or you can find here in CS or anywhere else.

Yet, sadly it is often forgotten that sexy and sensual photos does not neccessary requires the model or the subject to be in skimpy clothing or naked.

Nevertheless, it is pointless to blast and bash everyone who says that because they automatically becomes blind to whatever you post, most probably since they have already become numb. In Comics, they are usually referred to as "in limbo"

However, in actually working environment, one actually got no time to bleed because you just got no time to bleed. Many ppl will punch your nose if you say that you waste time dripping blood through your nose or dripping. The ambulance can come, but just dun come back when you are done. But dun worry, the fruit basket will not be forgotten.

cheerios.

thanks to everyone who posted their comments in my thread , thanks for the encouragement . ... practice makes perfect, and thats is me, and i 'm going to shoot more and more, be better each time ... thanks to everyone ... good and bad, day or night, rain or shine
