The center cross sensor is high performance like 1 series but needs lens which is f/2.8 or faster to be activated.

1 series DSLR has 7 high precision cross sensors, 20D has 1.

Yes, the new DPP will works with .CRW type raw files too, along with .TIF and .CR2 raw format.
