The best way to see the temples is to rent a bicycle. No need for a car, bus or tuk tuk.
Do not give money to the beggar kids. It encourages the behavior and most likely they don't get to keep the money anyway. Also no candy as they don't go to the dentist.
You can have a nice meal for less than 2 usd.

Hi so far here are the people going. Pls add on to register interest. I am looking at 22-25 march as guide is already booked during 12-15 apr.
