One comment from Brazilian ordinary Joe man in the street
"It's not a problem of Brazilian football — we have great players. The problem was
Dunga's philosophy of being the big chief, he was too hard-headed," said Daniel Garcia, a 29-year old banker.

One comment from the head of the South African WC Organising Committee Danny Jordaan.
The head of South African World Cup Organising Committee Danny Jordan has reportedly criticised Brazil coach Dunga for leaving Ronaldinho from the national team,
saying some coaches are 'blinded' by a sense of power.

Why do coaches do this?
a. Because they are personally jealous of the current great players of their country.
b. Because they fear that with these great players in the team, their own standing as coach will be greatly diminished.
c. Because they want to snub the great players and show their "power" as coach to select players.
d. Because they fall victim to their own vanity - they want to demonstrate that they can pick a bunch of untested-nobody-players off the street and win the world cup. Not because the players are good. But because as the magnificent coach or mentor they can make lousy players achieve great things.
The last is a common theme not just in football. It happens in every walk of life.
