I never intend to sell it. I never intend to sell any of my artwork.
So I dont put any price. I just put number. Since I like funny number I just quote 1,999 out of fun. I just simply put it like that.
I get a lot of feedbacks from friends that everyone quoted around 100 to 500 the most and they told me dont be a clown to quote 2k price on my print. They asked me to rethink how much I spent to pull the images and how I rate my man hour.
But let get it straight.
I dont spent any money to make those images.
The camera, studio, even models - no cost is involved. ( okay, the print and lamination only 7,5 bucks lah =p )
It's purely a work of amateur. I dont think Im interested to be professional photographer, at least right now. It's a work of someone who love to take pictures, someone who love to pose, someone who love to dance, it's just a work of amateur - people who do it for love and passion!
So I dont want to price it - i just stick on my cute number 1,999.
I'm not interested to sell my print, I just simply enjoy playing with number ( since we must fill the price somehow ) I'm not gonna change the price and 2k it will be =)
I even think of put 1,234 but later on I find it a bit cheesy =p
For me, I want people who really appreciate it to own it.
Of course, in this case, no matter how much money he / she willing to pay - i dont really care. As long as I see he / she can appreciate it, eventhough FOR FREE, i'm willing to give my prints =) It can be as direct as 'gaming enough' to answer my 'funny number' or approach me and tell me their interest. I just want to make sure it goes to the right hand. After all, I enjoy sharing my works ^____^
But that's just me lah. A point of view of 17 years old who only been into photography for around 3 months. A pure amateur.
