2-month old Olympus OMD E-M5 Mark ii accidentally fell in swimming pool :(

Bro it's around 700++ (body and lens) because some electronic components were already damaged.. The agreement ws if no damaged components, they only charged me around 350 for the cleaning but if some damaged components inside, I have to pay for the component cost in addition to the 350..

Imagine olympus qouted me 1.3k++ body only and said lens cannot be saved.. I don't know but my feeling was if the service man from olympus did not try to turn ON that camera while I sent that for check, maybe it does not have some damaged components inside.. I was expecting that they would not turn it before they open it because it's expected to still have water inside that would short circuit some components... I dropped it in pool switched off and take the bat immediately.. Anyway, it's still my fault because I did not remind my wife to remind the Olympus guys not to turn it ON. I really not expecting they would do that silly thing.. Anyway, got my camera and lens back again :)

The shop may have return you a different body and lens as replacement instead... Check the registration of the items.

Do take caution when dealing with buy and sell of camera gears with any shops or individuals.
That's sad to hear thou. Hope the person who went for the repair didn't get hustled.

Hello foxit - just checking did you send your camera to "SLR Accessory" or "Camera Hospital" - as both are at Sunshine Plaza.

Again I am no expert but it appears to me Camera Hospital is the one which is more equipped to deal with camera repair. When I was at SLR Accessory the shop is more a trading shop.

Hello KIKang there are indeed 2 shop which do service camera .
I have done both and found that SLR Accessories is cheaper for repair and parts replacement.
Camera Hospital are expensive for repair chargers
On selling your camera why you did not try to at the Camera Hospital as you are asking for $500/$400.
