When come to Singapore becomes grey set....anything that CSC don't recognised as local warranty is = grey set. 1DM3 is still very new in the market, there may be some bugs which requires recall to fix at CSC. If the set is a grey set, then you cannot get it fixed for free unless you ship it back to the country of origin. I will advice that we only get grey set when the body is mature in the market.

if it's interational warranty (most probably, if from legit sources), why not?
Canon's large posters about International warranty now covers China; it's are everywhere! =)
The warranty card that came with the 1D3 yesterday says covers warranty in Singapore leh. Not sure if its international warranty. For lens, yes it is international warranty. The last time I bought a DV cam from HK, I must bring the local HK warrant to Canon HK to get it exchanged to Tourist Warranty which is 6mths only.

1. How's the weight like compare to the MkII? Noticeable difference?
2. IIRC, you owned a 5d right? How do you find the 1DMkII compare to the 5D, especially in terms of AF speed and AF points (in the 5d, they are more crammed in the center of the frame)?
3. 1dMkIII shutter noise. How's that compare to the mkII? A lot quieter???

Weight diff, I can feel the diff just by holding it without lens. Basically Mark 3 has a smaller and more powerful battery. So 1DM3 is lighter.
AF, in good lighting condition, the 1D is super....but in low light the 5D af faster (But may not be accurate). 45 AF point is deifnitely much better then the 9 AF pt. I have so many option to choose from. But all the 45 AF pt is still squeeze in the middle of the view finder.
Shutter noise, the mark 3 is a bit quieter.....but still noticiable. 1D2 is louder. But I just love the sound of 10FPS....feel like you have the power!

tough call! I sold the MkII because it's hurting my shoulder. I was expecting some 5DMkII in the last PMA but 1DMkIII came out. Now really in a dilemma. Rumours say that 1DsMkIII is expected in this October. Probably 5DMkII will only come next year. Argh!!!:dunno:
Humm....all I can say is head down to the gym for some training!!! Hahahaha.... I seldom sling my camera, I always hold it in my hand with the E1 strap. Yes end of a whole day shoot it is quite tiring. I am also waiting to see if 1DsIII will come out, but that camera will cost a "car". So not sure if my finance will allow me for that. If 1DsMIII with 5FPS or 8FPS that will be cool. Then my 1D2 with 1Ds3 will be a good combo.
