Get the newer Sigma 18-250mm OS w/HSM...fast and silent motor-drive....the HSM is comparable with Canon USM...
and compare to tamron 18-270mm... how is it? ...

Is HSM truly comparable to USM in terms of speed? I know that even for USM lenses, not all USM lenses are necessarily faster than micro-motor lenses, just quieter.

The difference lies in "Optical Stabilizer". Similar to Canon "Image Stabilizer".![]()
