No problem la. Ya I got it from TK. 60D 1320 17-55 1535. Actually I was quoted 1545 for the lens but I make a mistake tot it was 1535 so told them they e-quoted me liao and that guy agree But I bought a 3rd party hood and it cant fit in Dunno when got time to return it to them otherwise $$ wasted. So you decided which lens to go? 15-85 or 24-105?

The boss (Samuel) say the lens is now out of stock and have to wait a few months, so I got the debundled set and he agreed to pass me the box and manual later on. Sounds stupid but I prefer the lens with box and manual makes it feel like a complete set. The hood you can get online at dealextreme (Lens Hood for Canon (EW-83J) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme), should be much cheaper. How much did you pay for your hood? Btw, have fun with your new setup

Haha, you can check for larger dust particles with a bright flashlight I guess...I don't think smaller non-visible dust particles will pose a problem to the IQ

Dust can be removed. But scare to remove the lens label to see the screw. That is the only part I am scare. The rest is easy

i highly suggest you not fiddle with the front element area as it may screw up the focus of the lens.

the few screws on the front element are used to calibrate the lens, iirc.

The responsiveness is how fast the 15-85 focuses, don't worry lah, the 17-55 is on par if not better than the 17-55. Hmmmm, to me 49 abit ex for a 3rd party hood :think:

ya...it look exactly the same but of course feel different when yuo touch it. Din bother for the 1st time and went for the 3rd party. Maybe I'm plain unlucky that got a copy that doesnt fit. No more 3rd party for me
