may i know where is this place u shoot at?

looks new to me and i havent been around for some time.

can i join if i dun have that lens?

Just like to ask users of the 14-24 F2.8, how you all feel about the bulb like front element.
cant use filters to protect and its unusual shape also makes it prone to accidents to the front element. . .
i wanna get this piece but the front element makes me think twice................

All the superwides are designed like that one lah.... If u want 14mm, then that's the way to go lor...

thats why i was thinking of the F4 version...

this is really a very good lens. therefore i now want to sell away my 1&1/2 years old 17-35/2.8 le
just be careful a bit, since cannot put filter, then just dun too often mop the glass, haha

If you have a DX sensor it is better off getting the 12-24/f4 ( I assume you are referring to this one ) since for wideness it gives you a bit more after cropping factor.

The 14-24 indeed has swell reviews but not tempted until i get an FF nxt time :bsmilie:

Adapter. PIA to use manual focus and changing aperture...

Tried the lens on Nikon body when I bought the lens. AF is so lovely!

What's PIA ? Isn't this a G lens with electronic aperture ? So with an adapter on a Canon EF mount, you're shooting at f/2.8 all the time ? You mentioned changing aperture .... how do you change aperture ?

Adapter specially made for the G lens to allow changing of aperture.
Check the starburst below caused by stopping down the aperture....

I think Nikon already reserve a huge amount of the front lens element.:bsmilie:
Envy Canon user. They have hundreds of ways to fit any fantastic Nikon lenses & put them into good use.

Canon is a like a lens whore! :bsmilie:

Here's the pic with the lens fully stopped down. Nice little starburst but the rainbow arch and flare could be annoying under certain situations:

There is an adapter available which allows changing aperture of G lens on EOS body without using a pin, but it is rather expensive (about GBP100).
A poor man DIY version can be found HERE

Hi milaurie. Thanks for the info. Could you give me the link to that adapter you mentioned ? (that can change the aperture without using a pin)
