However, you can them 'google' the model and see if it's available more cheaply elsewhere.

P.S. I am not using one. So happen to stumble onto 16:9 cos their lens reviews are quite gear.

I think with the introduction of the affordable D700 fullframe cam, this 14-24mm superwide may make more sense.

Top up another $1000 you could get a D3. I think the choice is clear if you factor in MB-D10, EN-EL-4a and charger.

Just bought this lens from HK, managed to get it from Broadway (at Time Square.. ya surprised!!) cheaper than Wing Shing or Man Shing which is retailing it for HKD12900 non-neg (and yes I had a HK friend with me bargaining). About HKD12700 using credit card. All in after conversion it's slightly over 2.2k.

AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED vs AF-S 17-35mm f/2.8D IF-ED ..... those who use both... which you guy think is a better buy in term of IQ/Price.... :dunno:

If you foresee going FX, then 14-24 is the way to go.
