One more thing from the front Body design should be added some alloy for more durable when carry for 300mm prime lens and above.

That's most disappointed.

The heavier telephotos come with their own tripod mount so its not difficult to figure out that when these are mounted onto any camera, the weight of the entire set up gets transferred to the tripod mount instead of the mount on the camera. Even if you are shooting handheld, your hands should be supporting the lens and not letting the camera bear the weight of the set up.

You wish... Street price is never a constant 80% of rrp. a lot depends on the overall price.. I think locally, after the mad rush, the D600 will slowly go down and stabilize at around 2.8-2.9k in maybe 6 to 9 months.

And if the GST goes up again... good luck liao...

Singapore Price (According to HWZ article) SGD 3249.
So again we pay SGD 600 premium. Will be interesting to see how fast this flies of the shelves!

As it is made in Thailand, and given the long lead-time Nikon has, I think the price of the D600 will stabilise very quickly, ie, there should not be the same shortages that affected the D800.
