That seems silly. IMO 3 different lines of lenses (DX for APS-C (1.5), full-frame/35mm, and 1.25x crop) is a tad too much..
well the latest stuff I am looking at from all the weblogs, bbs, noticeboards in the land of the rising sun is that.

on Fri 11 May, Nikon will also b holding the Great Nikon Sale with 50% discount. But, vigorous protest was mounted by current Nikon owners who demanded compensation for investing in the wrong horse. Finally, a compromised was reached - 50% discount to current owners of Nikon only. All others will have to pay the regular market prices.

realistic rumours is fine but making one up is just plain waste of time.
Christ if that really happened I'd get two copies of every single current production lens and camera. 1 copy to keep, the other to sell NIB for close to MSRP
