#60 Isle of Eigg, Inner Hebrides.
Futile attempts by the raging sea to reunite with this peaceful utopian-like pool of seawater, the remnant of a high tide spell.

#61 Isle of Eigg, Inner Hebrides.

Part of the volcanic tubes found in Camas Sgiotaig bears a striking similarity in shape to a 'mini Lofoten' on hindsight.

#62 Isle of Eigg, Inner Hebrides.
The 320m high cliff 'Sgorr an Faraidh' towers over the small crofting village of Cleadale. The top of the cliff is often shrouded in low clouds, which fortunately cleared the next day when we climbed up the cliff for a fantastic view over the island.

#63 Isle of Eigg, Inner Hebrides.

Got lucky with the weather on the day of ascent to Sgorr an Faraidh. The village of Cleadale and of course, the Isle of Rum can finally be be seen clearly in the distant.
With the 'Right of Access' of Scotland's Land Reform Act, anyone can have access to anywhere, do anything except being a nuisance of course. In fact we passed through someone's backyard on the way up here.

This is mad awesome.. You are so close to nature. I see most of the shots are very near to the sea and pebbles. Do you walk all the way to take the shot? Dont look like u took them from above.. especially #61, 55, 53.
As usual very sharp and nice colors.. i really love 52 and 60.. definitely 1 of the many threads with all great pictures.

Thanks for support again, bro. Yep, I walked as close to the subject as possible. For example 53, I was basically standing in the cold sea already.

52 and 60 actually is like 2 opposing twins. One dark underworld-like, the other paradise utopian-like.

Beautiful series~ :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Wow, 105 days!! I am sure you had great fun and an unforgettable experience. Were you in a group backpacking? Care to share how much roughly did your trip cost?
Looking forward to more photos :)

Yup, it was really fun and unforgettable despite getting into sticky situations sometimes.

There was no group, just the 2 of us backpacking ourselves.

We spent a total of 31.5k consisting of the below:

Transportation: 12k (excludes flight to/fro SIN.)
Lodgings: 9.7k (hostels, cheap hotels, wild camps, sleep in cars)
Food: 1.8k (self catering, energy bars, dry food)
Tickets/Tours: 8k (includes 5k for Svalbard expedition)

Hope you enjoy the coming photos. :)

#64 Isle of Eigg, Inner Hebrides.

The Sgorr an Faraidh's cliff as seen from the top after a tiring steep climb. On the plateau top, there would be flocks of sheep grazing freely but given their shy nature, would always keep a distance from us, unlike the friendly cows, horses and playful dogs here.

#65 Jokkmokk, Lapland.
A dramatic change of form for the Aurora Borealis as she drifted to my overhead position looking to devour me any minute.

#66 Jokkmokk, Lapland.
A very short but special moment as the heavenly curtain of light loomed so close right above me that I felt it was almost possible to reach out and touch it. Truly an unbelievable encounter.

Woah. I'm totally amazed by your shots. Do you intend to accept any disciple? Haha. Never fail to come back to your thread to look at your pictures. Maybe you can elaborate on how some shots are done?

Awesome aurora borealis shots in lapland. I am sure there are more right? I can imagine the excitement of almost able to touch them as if they were really close up.

the aurora is one of those things I have to see in my lifetime. Lovely shots and it must have been ethereal...
