1000D problem

hi bros,
i am using a CANON 1000D, sometimes when i ON my camera, the screen is black.
the camera can focus, flash can ON.
but cannot snap any photos.

tried to remove the battery and put it back again, only sometimes the camera goes back to normal.

any bros here experience the same problem,
what do i need to do to get it back to normal state??
