you can download picture styles from here http://www.canon.co.jp/imaging/picturestyle/file/index.html

Took these photos today. I only used 2 picture styles, standard and clear. Clear made some photos look nice and some really muddy dark.

You mean after installing the extra picture style in your camera, there will be a picture style call "clear" in the camera function?

After you installed it, it'll still say User def.1 or user def.2 etc. But next to it it would also say CLEAR or SNAPSHOT etc. In capitals too. When you install a picture style with the EOS utility you have to pick a user def to be replaced.

PS: Bye 1000D thread. I returned the 1000D for Nikon D5000.

correct me if i am wrong...
U must be shooting them handheld and using a big aperture.. then abit blur and many details not very focused..

After many trial and errors, better night shooting landscapes is to set to smaller apertures and longer shutter speeds, some say low ISO as well to minimise noise, so must use tripod in that case.

I like ur first picture though its abit blur. but its nice for the whole composition.:bsmilie:

The 1st pic looks great, got abit retro style.
don't think you're using large aperture as the DOF is quite deep.
for night shot without flash, i up up the ISO to 800.
The 3rd pic, maybe cut away the top half will look better.
