Sorry to hear about your bad experience man... I bought it from AP at SLS so it could have been a totally different experience at the other outlet.

Give AP a try; after some bargaining I got the D70 body with 1GB Lexar CF for just under $1490 (inc. GST) about 3 days ago. They let me check the unit and I was able to test for dead/hot pixels and focusing accuracy - highly recommended!

Those are not price after rebates but nett online prices. Some even provide free shipping in the US. However those shops (such as Amazon) won't ship to Sgp.
