yep it used to be chargeable as described, til i saw the new notice/flyer at NSC last week. it said that new nikon digital camera owners can sign up for an orientation workshop for free. someone pls correct me if i saw wrongly.

in no particular order: 1. read the manual. 2. sign up for the d70s class conducted by nikon singapore. it's free for new owners. somebody should make this 2 tips a sticky under a 'new d50/d70s owners read here first" thread.

i beg to differ. there are different kinds of nature photography - landscape, macro (micro), bird, etc. different lenses would be more cost-effective for each kind.
