{ @ricohflex , Where did you dig that trash from? }
This is similar to the Kodak top management reaction - when Steve Sasson presented his invention/idea within the company in 1975.
We all know what happened to Kodak. It is true that Kodak deserved to die a corporate death.
When a company...
Robin Wong released a video 2 weeks ago. In it, he said some things. Fast forward and view these segments:
42.24 to 43.25 { general idea of what he said } MFT has proved to be a failure so far. So do you wait another 20 years to consider other options?
57.24 to 58.14 { general idea of...
Good news for all.
Although this is a rumor.
The company is sussing out a new direction. The article says in Japan the market share of MFT has reduced.
So since the writing is on the wall, OMDS is seeking a new path.
They find APS and Full Frame has many competitors. Medium format has...
See, I told you. Full frame is 17 times more popular than MFT.
Article on most popular sensor format

From five options, full-frame took an incredible 82% of the entire vote, that's 714 out of 872 votes. That's over twelve times more than APS-C, the second most popular choice. Put...
OM system OM-3 Price SGD$2969 || Sony A7C Price SGD$2099 || Sony A7C mk2 SGS $2884
Sony A7C has 4 times bigger sensor size. The number of native Sony lenses and 3rd party lenses for E mount far exceed OM-3.
OM System OM-3 is 139 x 89 x 46mm. Sony A7C is 124 x 71 x...
Let world wide market decide. What do NEW buyers think.
Wait and see.
Die hard fans and those with sunken costs may like it. Maybe not enough to save the company.
• OMDS OM3 size Dimensions, Approx. 139.3mm(W) x 88.9mm(H) x 45.8mm(D) almost as big but sensor so small
Film era OM3 Dimensions 136 × 84 × 50 mm (could take 24mm x 36mm negatives)
• Name plate brand : OM System (Not Olympus)
• Sensor size of OMDS OM3 : Obsolete MFT
In view of...
Expect OM systems OM3 to be a failure.
Like I said. Only die hard fans and those with sunken costs buy. The rest stay away.
It is disappointing. OMDS is rehashing old camera parts. Zero improvement. Never dared to go full frame. So useless.
I came across a comment in dpreview.com forum which I thought was a very good summary.
By a member named MK82.
I will repeat his comment verbatim here.

Just watched all the videos and specs.
The body is E-M10 mixed to E-M5.
Idea is PEN-F with OM-5.
I think it is failure.
Didn't see...
This junk is MFT.
Priced too high.
May sell to die-hard fans.
May sell to those with sunken costs.
Unlikely to attract many new buyers due to outclassed sensor size.
They took away the manual focus clutch and made the price higher for 2 lenses.
Claimed splash proof but only IPX1.
OM System...
Today had lunch with friends and one of them said he will be buying Sony A7R VI which has 80MP when it comes out.
He was using the Sony A7R V at the table during lunch.
Consumers always want the higher spec.
Whether they really need it, is not relevant to their buying decision.
Thus all...
I really like the film Olympus OM-1 designed by Maitani.
I have a few film Olympus OM-1 camera bodies.
Which I keep out of respect for the designer.
I do not like the current crop of digital OM Systems mirrorless ILC.
In 1973 when Maitani designed OM-1, he was not small minded about the...
Actually that was Olympus the parent company.
Olympus has 40,000 employees world wide.
Those people they fired in past may come from a combination of foreign and Japan-local subdivisions.
But good news as Olympus Malaysia has hinted on a new model.
Let us see if MFT can make it through next...
