If you wanna go to both Nice and Monaco... should stay in Nice and take a day tour to Monaco... Can visit the palace and there's an aquarium there, casinos, alot of nice cars... In Nice, the museums are FOC on certain days... correct me if i'm wrong... sundays or every first sunday or something...

No bags and cameras allowed into the casino too if i remember..... and if u deposit ur stuff at the counter... they ask for a tip... haha... everything also $$.. i'm sure they are prospering... :)
