[ Camera ] All about the OLYMPUS PEN Lite E-PL5

The SLR Magic is just 199 bucks brand new! Just read through the forum here (especially the shop/dealers forums) to find out where they are available. I got mine from a camera shop on the first floor of the Adelphi. There is the exact same model in multiple mounts, so make sure you only get the...

[ Camera ] All about the OLYMPUS PEN Lite E-PL5

I use the aforementioned Samyang 7.5mm fisheye lor! 15mm on the m4/3 crop factor, can be fisheye or a plain wide-angle depending on how you shoot, no focusing needed for 99% of your shots and commonly found second-hand (check the m43 buy-and-sell forums here) for about 350 bucks give or take...

[ Camera ] All about the OLYMPUS PEN Lite E-PL5

Not a problem. Enjoy your new toy too! Next up should be Samyang 7.5mm fisheye and perhaps an SLR Magic cheapo 35mm 1.7 - amazingly fun lens for the money!

[ Camera ] All about the OLYMPUS PEN Lite E-PL5

I got mine from Plaza Angsana in JB too. They quoted RM2250 for the single lens kit and RM2700 for the twin. Both of which are excellent value if you go JB often and also change your Singdollars at Collyer Quay The Arcade (I got 2.49RM to the dollar). What's more, it came with a free Toshiba...

[ Camera ] All about the OLYMPUS PEN Lite E-PL5

Olympus EPL5 - The last camera for 90% of us Hi, I'm a semi-newbie photographer who just picked up a brand-new EPL5 Twin-Lens kit just yesterday and went tooling around with it at Gardens Bay East and my home and garden just today, y'know just to test how well it did with absolutely no...

    FUJI Large Sensor Compact

Some size comparisons and sensible analysis of the probable eventual pricing on this thread/page: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat.asp?forum=1012&thread=36378250&page=4 Never realised that the Oly m4/3 Pens are that small, relative to the others. The Fuji looks hefty!

    FUJI Large Sensor Compact

I sure hope the estimated price of Y1500000 (USD$1750) is a wild overestimate (although with a mag chassis and apparently real leather I think Fuji is shooting for the high-end consumer). At that price I can just about get a Leica X1! Which will at the very least hold its value better by sheer...

    Sigma 150-500mm in action

Should be fine. Here are some of mine taken at the Bird Park on an overcast day, ISO pushed to the max (therefore noisy), photos cropped but otherwise unprocessed, at 500mm. Hand-held on a Canon 300D. Autofocus is slow, but functional.

anyone into turntable and vinyl records?

Hi everyone, I just stumbled onto the Audio Note Singapore webpage (just Google it), and they have apparently got a pre-owned Rega Planar 2 for $490. The P2 has an excellent reputation as an outstanding starter deck and its easy set-up, no fuss. Audio Note is in Adelphi and I expect most of...

anyone into turntable and vinyl records?

Hiya, You need to go to the Echoloft at www.echoloft.com - an excellent Sg site for Hi Fi buffs. Head over to the Lounge (that's their forum) and click on the Echoloft Grooves section (that's the Vinyl-specific site). Lots of extremely helpful folk there, all of whom will be more than glad...
