I'll suggest you send it for cleaning at the Canon Service Centre. I've send my 28-105 USM for cleaning last year Nov and only cost me $65/=. Very clean. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

This one is MK 1 and not MK II and no more selling in the market. But recently last month I saw one 2nd hand in Alex Photo in Pennisular selling at $180. Not sure still there or not. Btw can the lens mount on 300D?
