Saw one at Best Denki, Plaza Singapura. I think it was $1.4+k, but cheaper than A200 at the same place. Dpreview postings have many pple who bought refurbished A2 from camera shops in NY or on ebay.

I agree with Drudkh. Both Eastgear & Mohd Mustafa have the lowest price on rechargeable NiMH batteries in Singapore. If you can find them cheaper elsewhere, I'm sure lots of people would also like to know. :D

Bestcam was quoting $1257 (price inclusive of GST + 1 GB CF card) at end Dec 2004. Price could have dropped further. A200 available at a number of other shops for $1190 in Dec 2004 also.

Hi Des, Really nice moon shot you got there. Tried with an A200, no telecon. Image is too small at 200mm; with 4x digital zoom, loses a lot of detail. Sigh - I guess that's where the DSLRs come in handy. Maybe I should start looking for a tcon.

If you want more users' comments & reviews on the A200, try the KMTF at dpreview. Practically all who got the A200 love it - hardly any complaints at all. The only people with grouses over the A200 come mainly from the A2 camp - and most of them don't own or never handled the A200 sufficiently...
