For the 70-300 focal length and the 4-5.6 aperature. This will be very difficult to justify the cost paid to this lens, no matter how sharp it's image and how rugged it's built. You may see the review of the tamron below...

Thanks for the info. I have checked with Cathay photo for Canon mount, the say no stock yet and their do not have a confirm date for the first shipment to Singapore as well.

IQ at 300mm is quite impressive.
Eyeing of this panasonic camcorder too, but seems like there is a 3D version (maybe a new 3D adaptor lens mounted in front of the camcorder) to be announced next wednesday. So wait longer to see first.:think...
Since they're patented the lens design, there must be some breaking through design that can produce very good IQ better than any lens design currently in market. Let's wait and see how it'll challenge the Nikon 14-24.
Would like to know what is you focusing mode. eg, spot or zone or else? and what is you aperature used? I've the 24-70 and 7D as well, but would not have so serious OOF.
