Haha not everybody wants a Linhof ma. A Cambo is equally good too. :-)
My point was the films and developing can cost a little, at least to me. It's good to have a group of LF photographers around, so usually we share equipments, etc to share the cost. :-)
The cheapest thing about LF photography is the camera itself. Everything else is expensive :P
That said, using a LF camera is a whole different experience from other formats. Good luck!
Hard to say without inspecting the negs. It might be the scanning that is affecting the image.
Try to look at the negs, they will give a better picture (pun not intended)
From my experience, Delta with HC 110 in dil B will give a nice contrasty image.

Scanning is an art to learn by itself. While a good scanner and good scanning software helps, you need to tweak the scans to get the correct colors, etc as well.
It's most likely the scans. Metering seems a little off. But that's easily fixed.
Color films a little hard to scan on flatbeds, you need to tweak the scans a little to restore the color back.
I think the TS wanted some examples. No harm putting in photos for everybody to see. Everybody have a different set of techniques anyway. Always nice to see what else ppl have :-)
