Problem with my A12 film back?

I just bought a new 501cm setup so please grace my noobness with your expert knowledge.

when i wind film through the A12 back the film counter on the right (the numbered one) skips number but the one of the left (the coloured one) shows correct usage. so what happens is the number goes from like 3->4->7->8->9.

my question is
a) is this a common/acceptable problem with the film counter
b) is there a way to fix it, if yes, how? or do i need to send it to a technician

Nope. It should show 1-2-3-4 and so forth till 12.
Just give it a service. Should be fine after that.

Ah, this I cant help. I'm from Malaysia. Maybe a search on the CS forums might help. Shouldnt cost alot though.
