Not really, is the short answer. Pics are about the same but the AFS is slower. I only like the internal focusing mechanism. Makes the lens look neater. But the increase weight is the the penalty u have to pay for... Otherwise, i believe the older 50mm is much better value for money...

Hi all S90 users. Do have a look at the LCD screen when it is total blank. Is there a faint whitish light showing at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. It fades with a decrease in screen brightness but at default setting it is quite obvious... Just wondering if it is present on all...
