Might as wait for D900. there is no end to "waiting" for new technology. If you can afford it and it makes you feel good, buy it.

How about primes instead of zoom? Get a 20mm & a 24mm and you're set.

hi, i was using the D80 previously with 24-70, and i was impressed with how sharp the lens was. But once i got the D700 , OMG, the IQ was another step higher. If you intend to go FX, then you should get this lens.

those of you who are considering the 24-70, go for it, you will not regret it. i got mine in Jan before the price went up and have been totally satisfied with it.

may i ask how old is your 80-200? my line of work deals with plastic. AFAIC, irregardless what grade, plastic and rubber will hardened over time and will break. i think anything over 5 years will be at risk.

as a owner of this lens, all i can say is no regrets. :cool: and you have the body to extract the best performance off the lens & vice versa

point is, do you print that everyday, all the time? Have you ever printed A0? pls read other post by the TS to see what he's actualy trying to do on this forum

A0 size is 841mm × 1189mm. i hardly think any hobbyist would print to that size.:nono:
