It looks very much like the Caledonian stinger (Inimicus caledonicus), which is supposed to occur from the Andaman Sea to Australia and New Caledonia. Devil scorpionfish (from what I can find on fishbase), refers to another type of scorpionfish.

Was at Pulau Weh recently. Had a great time - the resort was very plush (compared to the other types of accommodation available), the dives guides a fun bunch, and the diving ... ahhh the diving, was great. Was a bit rainy during our stay, and winds kept us from hitting the best dive sites...

So as not to hijack other threads, I thought I'd ask this one, that doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere else. I bought a G10 and the Canon housing recently, only to realise that some of the functions for the camera cannot be accessed when it is inside the housing - for example, switching...

Good idea ... maybe get a "I use Sea&Sea" wetsuit too :P

One last piece of "advice" .. the best camera is the one you have in your hand, coz without it, you have no picture to talk about :) Good luck in your quest. PS. Last, last advice (maybe) ... buy 4d :P

The eternal question for underwater photographers - which camera and housing models to choose from? I think it really depends on your needs ... I typically use a 60mm macro, so I carry a (small) Lumix in my BC pocket for wide angle (28mm) shots. Something like the G9 would not be able to fit...

"Outlast", as in the product or the company? Can't say much about company status, but product-wise, my S&S for my F90 is still usable, and so are my YS120 strobes from way back when. All good, I guess? :)

I've been using the S&S for a long time. Ergo-nomics very good, but eco-nomics not so good. :)

I've brought my Canon PnS (S50) in a Canon casing rated to 40m to 40m before, without any problems. I heard the u/w casing for the G9 is in short supply, is that true? Cheers, Jeff
