I got my 450D during the June IT Show. Guess we are in a very similar suituation of wanting to have better gear to shoot better. My kit now comprise of the following; 1. Canon 450D with Kit Lens [EF18-55mm IS] 2. Canon EF 55-250mm IS Lens 3. Canon EF 50mm F1.8 4. Canon EF 85mm F1.8 5...

85mm F1.8 for me as i shoot portrait. The sharpness is way much better than 50mm F1.8, of cos the focusing too. worth every penny spent. :thumbsup:
