what would the total price range be?

for e.g, the india temple beside the guan yin temple at bencoolen st, you can't go in to shoot, but you would like to shoot the atmosphere inside, 105mm would not be sufficient taking the photo from outside.

had a tamron 18-200 previously, but the pictures at 100+ 200 are not very sharp. but i have to say that its a very good range for walk around and its compact. so now looking for a canon len for its sharpness.

won't the 24-105 be too short for walkaround? especially if you wanna do close up?

what sort of lens "arsenal" is best for town walkaround, travel and portraits shots? say budget around 2-3k excluding the body.
