Zeiss Ikon RF dealers in Singapore

An uncle of mine is asking for pricing on Zeiss Ikon RF bodies here in SG. Are there shops here that sell these? I know CP sell the lenses, but they said they don't carry the RF bodies.

Anyone have any info on this? And maybe even the prices? Thanks!

That's it! End of the road for the black Zeiss Ikon!

RIP Zeiss Ikon film rangefinder camera | Photo Rumors
:o

But I guess the writing is on the wall, what with so many types of film getting discontinued, and FujiFilm's faux rangefinder lookalikes simply killed the market.

Ah well... I will shoot till either I run out of film and don't feel like buying anymore, or I just keep shooting till they run out of spare parts.

sometimes there's a cycle

for example, for a period of time vintage lenses were unwanted when new autofocus lenses were launched. Today, with adapters, these lenses are having a new lease of life, thanks to those focus-confirmation chips and focus peaking functions on mirror-less cameras

in the fashion world, designs from from the 1930s,60s,70s are also used today

in year 2000, bubble tea was the rage. then chain shops started opening all over, until it was getting saturated and shops started selling it at $0.50/cup before they die down. Then in the last 2 years, the bubble tea queues started all over again, selling at $2-$4/cup

maybe in the future, film will come back again

Trouble with Film is that the infrastructure required is quite hefty, and the formulae is a mix of Science and Art, i.e. endless catalogue of data accumulated over the years.

I swear, I love the ZI finder over the Leica M9 finder. So bright and crisp, and the 35mm frame lines are easy to see. It's sad they discontinued the ZI. :(

woah didnt know that, one of the modern well made affordable RF is gone!

Shame on me. I sold my ikon earlier this year!

:) are there any places left selling the Zeiss Ikon?
