Thanks for the explanation. I just thought the tilde was a typo and you knew something I did't.No, and that's why I used the tilde (~) in the range I posted, because I wasn't sure of the focal length of the lens. however based on that lens map on where the marks are for other lenses including the 8mm fisheye, and the other lenses that end or start at 14mm, 8-16 seemed to be the range for the standard grade ultra-wide, although Olympus themselves haven't posted the actual range.
Don't know if this is used in Singapore, but in most english speaking countries the tilde is used to represent approximation, for example ~10 would mean "approximately 10."
So when I said ~8-16mm, I meant somewhere close to that range.
Yeah... the price would be very impt..Seems like there's much interest regarding the upcoming ZD50-200 SWD...
From what I've gathered so far, it looks like besides the addition of the SWD there'll be a minor re-design of the lens arrangements as it's also rumored to be slightly more compact that the current 50-200.
Wonder how much it'll cost though...
Here's my choice..
1. ZD 150mm f2.0
2. 14-35mm F2.0 SWD or 12-60mm F2.8-4.0 SWD
3. 8mm F3.5 Fisheye
But the 150mm f2.0 is abit on the expensive side...
I'm on the market for 2nd hand Contax/Zeiss lenses.
3. 35-100 f2.0 (have to resist... have to resist)...
if u r a tele person, 150 will b good.
as a prime it gives good performance with teleconvertors.
This lens is very sharp and super heavy.. ;p
