i would love any of the leicas 14-50mm or the summilux. but that's a faraway dream. haha.
im waiting for the standard ultra-wide as well.

Here's my choice..
1. ZD 150mm f2.0
2. 14-35mm F2.0 SWD or 12-60mm F2.8-4.0 SWD
3. 8mm F3.5 Fisheye

But the 150mm f2.0 is abit on the expensive side...

No, and that's why I used the tilde (~) in the range I posted, because I wasn't sure of the focal length of the lens. however based on that lens map on where the marks are for other lenses including the 8mm fisheye, and the other lenses that end or start at 14mm, 8-16 seemed to be the range for the standard grade ultra-wide, although Olympus themselves haven't posted the actual range.

Don't know if this is used in Singapore, but in most english speaking countries the tilde is used to represent approximation, for example ~10 would mean "approximately 10."

So when I said ~8-16mm, I meant somewhere close to that range.
Thanks for the explanation. I just thought the tilde was a typo and you knew something I did't.

Really, I can't give you an answer if "~ " (tilde) is used in Singapore to indicate an appriximative value. I think it is used all over the world within physics and math or other sciences the same way, to indicate an approximation. Anyway, I am Swedish and never sat my foot in Singapore. Maybe one day... but so far nowhere east of the African continent. In Sweden and especially in my profession (engineer) it is used like in Canada.

Leica 480mm F2.8:heart:

Seems like there's much interest regarding the upcoming ZD50-200 SWD...

From what I've gathered so far, it looks like besides the addition of the SWD there'll be a minor re-design of the lens arrangements as it's also rumored to be slightly more compact that the current 50-200.

Wonder how much it'll cost though...
Yeah... the price would be very impt..

VA-1

50mm f2.0

7-14mm f4.0

In that order.

1. 12-60mm but it will come together with the new pro body... so no need to buy.
2. Leica 85mm f1.4 R mount with R-Mount adapter.
3. 35-100 f2.0 (have to resist... have to resist)...

I'm on the market for 2nd hand Contax/Zeiss lenses.

Talking about that... the second hand 85mm f1.4 that I saw at Peninsular... opp CP, is it trustworthy?

I'm considering getting the 150mm lens.. but now abit tight.

This lens is very sharp and super heavy.. ;p

Not as heavy as the 90-250... carrying that monster around reminded me so much of LAW gunner training.

My next lens.... 8 mm fisheye
