i remember back then when LFC dropped with graeme souness as the gaffer, finishing 6th in his first season but at least we won the FA Cup that season.
graeme also inherited an aging team with I think only 1 star player in John Barnes. if I remember correctly, he made some big signings with Mark Wright and Rob Jones coming over and also gave more first team appearance to a young Stevie McManaman.
quite similar to david moist (made 2 big signing in fellaini and mata, promoted the young januzaj to 1st team).
good luck to manu.
from the history books, once you dropped to such a low depth, its gonna take at least 15 years to climb back up again, even with a good financial backing. unless you have a super gaffer with ultra financial backing which is obviously never goin to happen here.
Manchester United manager David Moyes said rivals City are "at the sort of level we are aspiring to" after Manuel Pellegrini's men ran out 3-0 winners at Old Trafford. :bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie:
