LIVERPOOL midfielder Lucas fears he is facing another lengthy lay-off after suffering a knee injury in the stalemate with Aston Villa.

Lucas left Anfield on crutches and yesterday tweeted “it’s in God’s hands” as he prepared for tests to assess the extent of the damage.

He had come on as a half-time substitute for Philippe Coutinho in the 2-2 draw, but lasted just 21 minutes before he was then replaced despite trying to play on after receiving a blow to his right knee following a challenge with Fabian Delph.

A medial ligament injury would see him sidelined for between six to eight weeks.

The midfielder, who had been left out of the team by Rodgers, suffered a cruciate injury to his left knee in 2011 and missed the rest of the season.

We need a good DMC to protect the back four. Gerrard seem lost in that position against villa. Allen too lightweight. Come on Liverpool. Get a DMC that can knock player off......
