Hi I have decided to just buy the yongnuo yn460 as well as the flash triggers.

Any idea if the yongnuo series can be found at those cam shops at Peninsula and Funan? How much is the market price when you bought it?

And if i buy the wireless triggers , which brand should i look for? I want the cheapest combo ever because this is just to play around with.

I'm scared they would set a high price, and my unknowledgeable self will just buy it without research.

Hi,

I used Nikon and the following gears served me well.

- Nissin Di622 MkI
- 2X YN460II. Bought via fren in China, $55 per flash.
- 1 transmitter & 3 receiver (trigmaster apurture). Forgot the actual price but definately less than $200 for these. Got it at arkworkfoto. It is 3 in 1, meaning u can trigger camera, flash/strobe, and also as shutter release.

Hope these helps. The only limitation is no high sync, usable shutter speed is 1/160s for my D90.
So far, failure rate is zero. Just that Nissin flash always go into sleep mode.

thanks for the info. unfortunately , the trigmaster don't work for canon cams :(

YN460II costs around $80 if I'm not wrong. Don't see them much these days though.
Why not try the YN560? Better construction, more power, power zoom... There are a couple of promotions on this model in several shops going for $100 instead of the usual $120. (Check v-shops and mass sales)

As for cheap no-frills trigger, there's the PT04 at only $40 (1 trigger + 1 receiver)
It does have some misfires every now and then, but it doesn't bother me.
