Yongnuo 2X III canon extender

Can the YN extender be used with any EF lens? I recall something that the Canon extender could only be used with certain lenses or so (I could be wrong here).
I know that the AF systems of most cameras require f/5.6 or faster, that's not the question here.

Same as the EF version, it can only be used for lenses that have a rear element which allows the extender protrusion to fit in.

i recall the TCs can fit on tele lenses 135mm and above.

In the yongnuo 50mm 1.8 clone thread, i mentioned I saw their clone of the 2X III extender, and purchased one for testing. just wanted to share some shots from the yongnuo extender + canon 300 2.8 IS L (mk1) over the next few posts. (original post from previous thread below)

Cant answer you cuz i don't have that lens or the 7d2

If by design of the mount, it "should" be able to fit. Even if can mount, you will lose the af, since 2stop down from 5.6 is beyond what current canon af system can focus.

Best to try at the shop before buying...

My 100-400ii failed with my old kenko 1.4x..camera won't even start..just says lens needs to be updated aka telecon..I read some where that the new batch of.kenko telecons with the yellow dot on the box works...mine which is the blue dot.wont..
