yet another Ferrari accident..

I hope CS Kopitiam wont turn into Yahoo News Forum....

It is old news. The location is the rear lane bisecting the two blocks of Orchard Towers. Specifically Claymore Drive. The driver was belligerent. Take note that it was a zebra crossing. Pedestrians have right of way. After nearly knocking the two persons down, the driver should have apologised. Instead, he was the first to hit one of the pedestrians with his fist. Low-life in expensive cars.

He deserved to be beaten up by the angry crowd. Don't bother too much about it.

So if you unintentionally anger someone in public, you have to be beaten up? Nice logic there

seen the video. it is evident that the ferrari driver provoke / trigger the beating. he came out of the car and shouted 来... 来... 来... 来.. 来.. 来...来..来..来..来..来..来.. 来.. 来...来..来..来..来..来..

not that i side the rich, but get your facts straight:

STOMP - Singapore Seen - Orchard Towers Ferrari brawl: Man jailed six months

Man jailed six months for involvement in Orchard Towers Ferrari brawl

There was a second man in the car who got beaten up, not the driver.

also:

most of the people who attacked the guy just showed up to kick the man when he was down. and they weren't passers-by. they were friends of one of the malay dudes.

while i respect their unity, attacking someone, especially someone outnumbered is a cowardly act. and the one who provoked the fight wasn't the uncle. it was one of the dudes who shouted at the driver and his passenger and hurled vulgarities.

just read this hilarious recollection of a serious event:

mrbrown.com: Orchard Towers Fight

and some on another website:
Orchard Tower Ferrari brawl - unemployed man was jailed 6 months

Quote from the article:"The court heard that the Ferrari driver, Mr Lim Yak Keng, 43, had stopped his car about a foot away from two women who were using the zebra crossing. That was when the brawl started.

One of the women then went to Peyton Place at the Orchard Road building to tell Roslan and two others about the fight. Mr Soh had alighted from the car to help the driver, Mr Lim, and was punched and kicked by Roslan." EndQuote.

The article is incorrect.
View the video again.

It does not matter whether the guy was the driver or a belligerent friend of the driver.
Hi behavior was wrong and he was the guilty party.
He did not alight to help the driver.
He alighted, walked quickly straight towards the man and woman, challenged the man to a fight and hit the man first.

The car did not stop 2 feet away from the women who were using the zebra crossing. The full length of the car was stopped over the entire width and beyond the zebra crossing.

Wah. 6 months for causing hurt. I thought the big belly man instigated the fight? So if 2 parties fight and one got KOed, he becomes a victim?

In any case, hope he did not sustain too serious an injury.

The video doesn't start from the beginning. The investigation does

This happened exactly one year ago. One of the man who bashed up the ah bui has already been sentenced to 6 months imprisonment last August.

What interests me is there is no news on the investigation on the 2 men in the Ferrari, with the ah bui, obviously instigating the fight and may even have thrown the first punch according to the video. Yes, he may have fallen at the end but that does not make him the victim.

More interesting is why TS chose to start this thread at a time that coincides with
(1) the anniversary of this event
(2) when the imprisoned guy should have or be released from prison soon

Will there be a sequel?
