how's the speed like for writing and reding?

Initialy state it will detect the hard disk condision and battery condition which will be around 20secs. Once the hard disk condition is good and power is sufficient then it will start duplicating file over the Hard disk by more than 1MegaBytes/s.
After complete copying, it will start the verifying process to check whether all files have been successfully duplicated without any error, if there is error then it will show red light to inform you to retransfer the data again. If successfully duplicated all the files to HDD then the light will gone off. The verifying process is good to ensure all your data is successfully duplicated without corruptions.

Hi,
Just tested on this device, it takes 15minutes to duplicate 1GB from Kingston CF Card to the HDD.

How about just the casing itself? How much are you selling?

Do you have any photos on all the contents inside the box, including the remote and battery pack. How long (or number of MB of transfer) can the battery pack sustain before going flat?

my current image storage also 1.1. but i know the li-ion batt will last the whole transfer. i hope to find out is this model can tahan the whole transfer without dying. after all, it uses AA batt pack.

i like the slim built. much better than my current one. however, so far, SoNn7 no sound no picture.... :dunno:

Sorry for being reply so late. Sorry indeed.

Tested on a set of 2500mAh batteries, it can last more than 2 hours. :)
Ya think the speed is USB1.1... but if you are not taking 1GB of photos within half hour I think this device is suitable for you ;). Beside from the databank storage media, it is a intelligent media player as well which you could play your video and photo slide on TV :D .... and the slim and stylish type make it light and portable... :)

NTU having road show and selling at the promotion price :D
