Yashica GTN aperture stuck

My GTN aperture stuck at f1.7, even when i set the aperture to f16.
Anyone encounter this? Whats the possible cause?

im not too sure because i don't use a yashica gsn/gtn, but what i think that your aperture lens blade may be sticky due to many reasons:

1)lack of lubrication
2)too much lubrication
3)wrong type of lubricant
4)dirt

probably send the camera for a cla and it would be as good as new =)

Could be your aperture blades are stucked, or the belt which controls the movement of the aperture blades is not working.

Thought its due to sticky aperture but finally got it rectified today. Problem was due to the aperture selection ring. Thanks for the feedback
