Actually I did go there many moons back seeing the $699 haha. There were only 2 sets and obviously sold out by the time I was there.
$699 for a brand new x100 is very good deal !

Should be brand new. I also saw that price from last week's Singapore Expo sale

original post had said Courts Fair at Expo , actually there's only one and one only fair which is the Audio House Fair at Expo that sold the x100 at $699. 2 sets , brand new. Or maybe it's a combined fair but I'm am very sure it was audio house selling at this price. Not that it matters , just in case people start thinking $699 is the norm. I still had shops at Funan trying to sell me the x100 at $8xx to $10xx last week when I can jolly well get a x100s for $1190 in HKG.

I guess the local retailers don't really care about overseas pricing. As long as there's a reasonable price gap between local prices of x100 and x100s, their inventory will move.
dammmmnnnn... if courts is clearing this at $699, it is definitely worth getting... think i should start camping at courts near my place. :think:

that said I never really found paying the extra for the black x100 to be worth it unless one is a black body purist. Had considered the wide 28mm adapter but when I decided to forgo it when realized how much thickness it added to the body

i had called AH, they had a display set going for 699, but do note it's a display set.

Had considered the wide 28mm adapter but when I decided to forgo it when realized how much thickness it added to the body
i will not go for the wide 28mm adaptor, the very reason i get x100 or x100s is to have an APSC sensor inside a body that is thin and compact, also being 28mm isn't really that wide too plus image quality reduced with it

Agree, the compactness matters to me hence even with the promise of a wider view and similar IQ, I'm not going for the wide adapter.
I probably would get the tele convertor when its out if image quality is not severely affected by it.
X100/X100s can sync with flash at 1/1000s wide open which is really nice.

u can try Malaysian shops, some may still have stocks, just remember to get official receipt and warranty card.
