X-T1

Hi all! I have some questions regarding the XT1 with memory card.

The situation is like this...

I called a shop just now to ask about the free memory card (USH-2) and the person told me the claim period closes on 27 July. My problem is, I don't think I will be able to make the purchase before 27th... So my question is...

For those who have use the normal card (the one that comes with the camera) and the free memory card (USH-2), is the difference really big? How noticeable is the difference for you all? Starting time? Buffering time? Anything would helps.

Thanks!

For single shot, both are fast no much different.
For continuous low and continuous high, the toshiba card process faster over the normal card.

I guess the toshiba card is more for video.

No expert here, just share what i see. :)

Well I found a video about the speed difference between these 2 cards. From the video, they only emphasized on the buffer time for continuous shots. I guess it's like what you said, not much difference for single shot. I guess I got my answer, thanks!

I certainly hope not as I'm hoping to be an X-T1 owner real soon!

Anyway I think it's too early to judge Sony's lens lineup now. When I was using Fuji mid last year, their lens lineup was scant too and they didn't have the 23mm lens which I really wanted (and made me sell my X-Pro 1), which they do now.

Im very sure that you can go ahead with ur XT as it wud be donkey years or not gonna be for fuji to go full frame as they are doing very well with what they are doing.

Agree and if u really think about it, do u really need full frame? How many people really print to a size that the full frame advantage outshine smaller sensor? If u make a living, sure and u can have the best glasses to complement the full frame else it just makes u feel good u have a full frame camera and that's abt it. Fuji seems to niche well, appealing to certain group of photographers and with their nicely design, not too overpriced lenses can give so call full frame manufacturer a fight for their money. I certainly will not carry the D800E and the trinity lenses for holiday and certainly will not post the 36MB picture on face book hehehehe.... Now wait for XT1 price to drop.

Any guys know when the new eye cap will arrive in singapore?

As some of the folks pointed out, Fuji took quite a bit of time to develop the X mount system i.e. lenses. If they were to announce an FF camera, do you think you will have all the equivalent lenses readily available with the camera? There will still be a wait. So even if an FF camera is made available tomorrow, that doesn't mean the current X mount cameras are any less capable.

anybody knows if the Pre-launch X-T1 PWP voucher for the XF18-135mmF3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR will be extended? the expiry date of this voucher is 30th Jun 2014? Can't wait to get my hands on this beast...

any idea if the XF18-135mmF3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR len will be bundled with zt-1 as another kit len option?

Very likely as from the beginning the X-T1 was supposed to be the weather resistant option. The 18-55 isn't weather resistant.

Probably
XPro bundles with 35/1.4
XE bundles with 18-55
XT bundles with WR 18-135

Thanks. Considering xt-1 and may wait and see.

I am also considering x-t1. What are ur areas of concern. Actually mine is main price and also that I don't know much abt fuji. Went to fuji showroom at funan today to play with the range of fuji cams. Both x-t1 and xe2 felt quite refreshing in its handling. Pictures on the lcd looked nice. The 56/1.2 mounted on the t1 was tad slow in af (compared to my oly e-p5). The 18-55 on e-p2 was better though I feel still slower than the e-p5.

Anyway the price of the t1 can buy 2 x A6 with change to spare but in terms of specs they are not so different. In fact a6 specs better in some aspects. So whilst I like the x-t1 (and xe2 for that matter) I wonder if I will be getting good value for my money *think*

Wondering howcome there are so many people selling x-t1 in buy and sell now

Ppl boring liao then sell lor.... and hunt for new toys =)
