sorry i made a mistake on the warranty status. Date of purchase is 29 April 2013, so there is slightly more than 5 months of warranty left. The 12 month Canon warranty expires on 28 April 2014.

one more correction, warranty is 15 months because I registered online. It expires 28 July 2014.
