In the Yashica Electro 35 line, this gotta be the favourite of the Yashica fast lens series. If you are a fan of aperture priority with fast lens, this is the one you should be looking at. Film speeds of ISO 25 to 800 are supported.
The MAJOR difference between the GSN/GTN and the GX is the use of silicon meter rather than CDS meter. Hence with a GX, you get a much more responsive metering.
The GX takes sharp pictures and excels in low light situations. The viewfinder is very well made, probably equivalent if not better than the Olympus SP/SPn. If you are looking for a sharpshooter and yet more compact than the GSN/GTN, this is the one. Look at the pictures below when comparing it to the Leica CL.
This GX is a CLA'd set with everything cleaned, lubricated, adjusted and new light seals. Lens has no fungus, haze or scratches. Oh yes, the Pad of Death has also been replaced. FYI, the pad of death exists in all the Electro 35 MG-1.
It is a very clean set with crisp clear viewfinder and contrasty rangefinder patch. Only significant flaw worth mentioning is there are some light scratches on the baseplate.
Comes with the original cap, cable release, a nice Lowepro pouch and 2 rolls of films for you to kick start. Fresh batteries included as well.
