Description:
Leica IIIc for some repair.
Its a 1950 shark skin IIIC in user condition with marks/dents/scratches all over. This is one of the last IIIc before the IIIf was introduced.
Shark skin Leicas are screw mount leicas with certain type of vulcanites used during 1949 and 1950. Often in better condition than the usual vulcanites, not flake or chipped off.
Rangefinder patch is very dim I can only see light sources aligning, 1s and 1/2s shutter sticky at times. Dim rangefinder patch is due to deteriorated beam splitter.
Main finder is bright and clear.
Shutter curtain is nice, shutter speed is pretty good from 1/4s to 1/1000s.
While the shutter is hardly an issue, the rangefinder will need some fixing.
If your a handy person, you can buy a $10usd beam splitter on ebay (item no: 301949825871) and fix that dim rangefinder.

If you are using it on ultra wide lenses, ie. 12,15,21mm, you probably dont even need to fix the rangefinder.
Priced according to condition, unlikely you'll ever find a Leica at this price.
