Equipment Model: DiMAGE Scan Multi PRO with specially modified XPAN Film Holder
Price (S$): S$2,200
Description:
Selling Minolta DiMAGE Scan Multi Pro scanner capable of scanning up to medium format (35mm film, mounted 35mm slides, 6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7, 6x8 and 6x9) out of the box. I had this scanner since 2004; it was purchased new at about S$4,000. Since I averaged about 10 rolls of film per year, this scanner has gone through only 50 rolls of 135 film.
The scanner still scans perfectly at 4800dpi for 35mm film and 3200dpi for 120/220 film. It has both Firewire400 and SCSI connectivity [I solely used it in the Firewire400 mode]. I do not use the included scanning software, choosing to operate the scanner through Vuescan [www.hamrick.com].
External condition of the scanner is very good; no scratches, dings, dents or other marks. Connectors are clean and does not carry heavy oxidation. All the holders are in perfect condition and not worn. As I mainly shoot 35mm, the 35mm film holder is almost exclusively used.
Special XPAN Capability at 4800dpi!
One of the chief reasons for buying this scanner is so that I can scan 35mm film at 4800 dpi. The scanner is capable of handling XPAN through one of the medium format holders, albeit at a lower 3200dpi. However, I have purchased an additional 35mm film holder and modified it to hold 1 XPAN panoramic (24mm x 65mm) frame at a time. So panoramic frames are scanned at a single pass at 4800dpi.
As a special, I will include the S1 set of IT8.7 scanner calibration targets from http://www.targets.coloraid.de/, which cost about $150 to purchase and ship, if the final agreed upon price is within 5% of the listed price above [i.e. S$2,200].
